Best Class C RVs

New to the exciting and adventurous world of rving, but ready to get on in there? Thinking of hiring out or buying an rv for the first time? Then it’s likely that your brain is already as fuzzy as a bear with all the expert chat going around about the different ‘classes’ which exist in the rv world. Just which class is the one for you? Well, for defuzzifying purposes, I am going to inform you about the advantages of a Class C rv, and share a report with you about the best C Class rvs currently on the market.

Features of a C Class RV

So what makes an rv a ‘C Class’ rv?

  • Your typical Class C is generally between 20 and 30 feet in length ( 6-9 metres)
  • It’s built on a cutaway van chassis
  • Inside, you’ll find a bathroom, a kitchen area and a queen sized bed
  • Some fancier models have slide-outs and awnings and other features to enhance your rving experience
  • unfortunately I have been unable to find a Class C model currently offering a fold-out indoor swimming pool or jacuzzi.

Great For Couples To Explore The RV Life

Essentially, the best C Class rvs are not as luxurious as their flashy Class A older brothers, but they’re a great way for couples and families to enjoy the rv experience without having to take a hefty loan from the bank, or sell any organs.

Creating extra space in Class C’s

Every space is used strategically within these rv’s, in order to optimise convenience. You’ll find that the space above the cab can be used as a snug sleeping area, or as storage.

This leaves extra room in the main cabin for a dinette, which often can also be converted into a bed at night time.

So Why Purchase a Class C RV?

  • Well, advantage number one has to be that they are so much cheaper than those mahoosive Class A rvs. That means you’ll have more money leftover for beer, barbecue and ice cream: all the lovely things that make the rv lifestyle so enticing.
  • They’re smaller, and therefore easier to drive and manoeuvre than the Class A rvs. This could  present a really significant saving for you, as many drivers of the Class A models need to purchase a small car to get to the supermarket and drive around town centres.
  • In your Class C model, however, you should be able to scoot around the trickiest town centres without the inconvenience of taking down overhead powerlines or scraping the paint and wing mirrors off stationary vehicles. No one likes you when you do that.
  • If you wanted to go a step smaller than the Class C rv, you could consider investing in a Class B. You’d be saving some money here, but probably not your marriage. This is because they are somewhat compact inside, and even the most loving couple can only stand on eachother’s toes so many times before falling out. I certainly wouldn’t advise attempting to take a road trip in a Class B rv with teenagers or wolfhound- oh dear, no.
  • Fancy a wild camping adventure? If you like the idea of living off-grid in your rv- any rv-you may be interested in my articles about solar panels and how to easily and cheaply create a solar array of your own. Click here
  • The best Class C rvs come equipped with larger water tanks and generators than Class B models, meaning that you can be self-sufficient for longer periods of time.
  • Also, because of their higher ground clearance, your average Class C model is far better suited to rough terrain than the lumbering Class A model. This is extremely important for bragging purposes around the campfire, as you can wow those A-Classers with all the wild places you have visited, alongside the impressive number of grizzly bears you wrestled while you were there. These things are very important.
